With four cutting edge albums and two Grammy awards, the artist know as T-Pain seems to have found his niche in a market of rappers, hip hoppers and rhythm and blues musicians. The Tallahassee, Florida born Faheem Rasheed Najm has transferred his unique “Auto-Tone” style into a a crowd pleasing set of songs that has buttressed his net worth to $73,094,250.
Najm coined his stage name of T-Pain as a testament to the harsh days of growing up in Tallahassee, Florida. Although the Capitol of the state of Florida, the area is really known for its progressive nature to the brothers – let alone a Muslim brother.
T-Pain has marked well with each one of his album submissions. His first “Rappa Ternt Sanga” in late 2005 opened some eyes with a few well-received singles and worked its way up to number 33 on the Billboard 200. T-Pain's sophomore offering even did better. “Epiphany” scored the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and sold nearly 1 million copies in 2008. Now with some creed behind him, T-Pain starting appearing and collaborating with more popular rappers and hip hop artist.
In 2009, T-Pain collaborated with Lil' Wayne with the release of his third entry into the market called “Thre33 Ringz”. Although it didn't top Epiphany's numbers, T-Pain's exposure to top tier agency, collaborations and gigs grew.
Najm has yet to release his fourth album conditioning it on the acquisition of twitter and facebook followers. Called “RevolveR”, it has been claimed to contain singles with collaborative efforts by others including Chris Brown, Lil' Wayne and Field Mob's Smoke.
Music isn't the only thing that T-Pain thinks about. He has worked with others in an attempt to become the President of The Florida State University, one of the big state universities in Tallahassee. So far it appears that his schedule keeps him from lobbying the legislature and the Board of Regents for consideration.
