Travis Barker tattoos his drums with all his passion. A multi-talented drummer, who himself has covered his body with art has diversified his musical talent into producing, label owning, collaborating and performing for a myriad of bands. As testament to his diversity and ability, his net worth has creep up to $84,282,307 during the 33 years he has playing the drums.
Barker did get an early start. At the age of four, he was keeping his parents up in Fontana, California with his incessant play. He stayed at it. With the help and development of a jazz drummer teacher, Travis could adopt a plethora of style in the blink of an eye.
One of the reasons he maintained a strong association with the band Blink-182 was because they called him in to replace their drummer on short notice and he learned 20 of their songs within an hour and helped them perform that evening. The band's success as a pop punk bank is legendary.
As the gigs grew and the demand for the band presence expanded, Barker got in the habit of taking private transportation from one performance to another. In 2008 along with DJ AM, the pair planned to take a private jet from South Carolina to California after a local performance. The plane crashed on takeoff and only two of the six occupants survived. Both DJ AM and Barker were transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.
Barker recovered from his injuries after two years of extensive rehabilitation and has begun performing in videos and with the groups he now plays. Prior to the accident, Barker was a vegetarian. During the hospital recovery and rehabilitation, he shook that diet in order to supplement his protein intake. He has now reverted back to vegetarianism. In addition, he has taken up a strenuous exercise regiment that includes daily swims and Cardio work.
Barker owns or co-owns two record labels. He also owns a clothing company that specializes in custom belt wear. He is endorsed by drum and cymbal manufacturers that supplement his royalty income.
