Talk about getting an early start into stage like, Zendaya is the prime example. The Disney star, whose name means to give thanks, worked the aisles of a theater for her Shakespearian parents when she was a young girl. While she was training with the theater group, she learned the ins and outs of selling tickets, promoting plays and acting as a normal day-to-day existence.
Stage wasn't the only money maker for the youngster. Zendaya took those cute, good looks and modeled for the likes of several popular department stores and specialty outlets. Her classic training from California Shakespeare Theater Conservatory program and at the American Conservatory Theater blended well with her natural ability to dance, present and sing. With those combined talents, she was an easy pick for the Disney Chanel when they cast her as Rocky on their television series Shake it Up.
Her family and her now reside in the Los Angeles area where the teenager looks to develop her singing and dancing skills in the hotbed of Hollywood. A bit younger than Selena Gomez, Zendaya and Gomez appeared together as backup dancers in a Sears commercial. Currently, Zendaya prizes her giant Schnauzer, Midnight as her great pet and protector.
