Columbus Keith Short is mainly known as an American choreographer, but also makes a living as an actor and singer. The famous choreographer was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in a talented and musical family. His mother ran a talent management company, which could explain the large array of skills that Short has at his disposal.
Short has a very successful career that earns him a lot of money, unfortunately his personal life has been far from successful. Columbus Short’s first wife was Brandi Short, but he divorced her in 2003. Short remarried to another dancer, Tanee McCall in 2005, but the marriage was also doomed for failure. His second wife filed for divorce in 2013. Even though Columbus Short has two failed marriages, he did get two children from them, a son from his first marriage to Brandi and a daughter from his second marriage to Tanee.
Columbus Short started his successful career by appearing as a dancer in You Got Served. He also appeared in the hit Accepted, accompanied by Justin Long. Success came pretty quickly after that and he starred in many successful movies, including Save the Last Dance 2 and Stomp the Yard.
During his extensive career as a dancer, Columbus short has received many nominations and awards. He got awarded the Best Ensemble in the Black Reel Awards in 2008 and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture in the Image Awards in 2009.
Short definitely has built a very successful career as a dancer, actor and singer, however, one has to wonder if his failed marriages are cutting down his living expenses quite a bit. With two ex-wives and two children to support, Columbus Short might have to guarantee future success.
