With the unmistakable mustache and the huge physical frame, Terry Gene Bollea – better known as Hulk Hogan – has earned his keep as a professional wrestler, actor and television personality since the late 1980s. While earning that keep, he has grown his net worth to $30,999,300. Throughout his career, he has maintained the bombastic energy and platinum locks that made him a fan favorite no matter what arena he jumped in.
He began on the dark side – as a villain – during his days with the World Championship Wrestling association. He eventually moved over to the WWE and became an American Hero, touting the red and yellow weaved into his costume and character. In 2005, Hulk Hogan earned a spot in the Hall of Fame with the WWE and accumulated a number of championship belts and trophies along the way.
The Hulkster gave up his college studies when they got in the way of him playing bass guitar for a band he was in. Growing up in the Tampa Bay area provided an easy conduit for Hogan to meet and greet a large member of the professional wrestling set. From there, the rest if history.
Hogan has traveled all over the world and wrestled his way through a number of wrestling association and federation to get into the big leagues. He eventually settled down in Clearwater, Florida where he owned a huge estate nearly surrounded by water.
Unfortunately, marital trouble followed his success. After a long marriage of 25 years, Hulk and Linda Hogan went through an acrimonious divorce that hurt his clean cut image and his standing in the eyes of his fans. He has since remarried in 2010 and has re-sunk his anchor in Clearwater as he rebuilds his persona through other business ventures. Hogan now wrestles for the Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling.
